The most technically complicated editing you will do in this class involves audio and video. The key steps are:
Your first rough cut will almost certainly be much too long. Then comes the hard part -- cutting out the material that's good, but not vital to your story. Often, shots and scenes that you're fond of will have to go for the good of the project as a whole. Bummer, but necessary. Be brutal. Only the good stuff that advances the story can remain in the final cut. |
